About me

Currently, I am working in the Library for Business and Economics (Fachbibliothek Wirtschaftswissenschaften) of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences at the Universität Hamburg in Germany. Since 2003, I have worked at the IRC/Library at the Jacobs University and in the Branch Library for Engineering and Social Sciences at the Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Bremen.

I studied librarianship at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, Germany.  In 2010, I finished my dissertation on information literacy and librarians in German HE libraries at the Berlin School of Library and Information Science. Three years later, I received my Master of Science in Management degree from the FernUniversität in Hagen.

My fascination with the English-speaking library world started with an internship at Trinity College Dublin Library, Ireland, in 2000, and another internship at Alexander Library at Rutgers University Libraries, New Brunswick, NJ, in 2002/2003.

I am interested in information literacy, user instruction and teaching methods. In my free time, I love to travel, to hike and take pictures.
